Save Andhra Pradesh - Jai SamaikyAndhra is not just a slogan nor a theme, this is something that came from the hearts of Telugu People.Andhra State, a State in India created on Oct 1, 1953 from the Telugu-Speaking Northern Districts of Madras Presidency.
Later, on Nov 1, 1956 the Telangana region of Hyderabad State was merged with it to form the United Telugu-Speaking State of Andhra Pradesh.

This Agitation is first of its kind, without any involvement of Political Leaders. When the Leaders whom we elected are afraid to come into public and trying to change the scenario; what else the people of Andhra Pradesh can do rather than coming onto the streets and protesting for their demands to be fulfilled.

Is this revisited 1947!! As our generation wasn't born during that time, Are our elders in Telangana region repeating the same so that we can feel the heat as it was during that time. No one is in Fun mood nor trying to Ignore the Issues, there are 'n' number issues in every Region but How far it is correct to Demand a Separate State??
 
SamaikyAndhra movement is supported by Government Employees, Students from 14 Universities, Advocates, in Andhra & Rayalaseema Regions along with various Occupational Groups.

 Division of the State would lead to several problems, few listed as follows:

• State's major income comes from our Capital City Hyderabad. How do they plan to Implement welfare programmes equally all over Andhra Pradesh.
• What about the Taxes, Where are the Taxes paid by People of AP Deposited till date??

 

• Srikrishna Committe clearly indicates that other parts of the AP State are not much Developed compared to the Greater Development that took place in Cities & Towns of Telangana Region.
• This would also lead to Water problems in Andhra & Rayalaseema because Telangana is on the upstream of Krishna as well as Godavari rivers. Division of the State would turn the Agricultural Lands in Krishna Delta into Deserts ultimately turning the Farmers into Daily Wagers is the utmost fear of Farmers and Water-User Associations.
•  Advanced Engineering Colleges and Universities are located in Hyderabad, the first choice of every Student would be Hyderbad be it the Job-Oriented Courses or IT Companies, Consultancies. 
• Most of individuals from all parts of Andhra Pradesh invested in Hyderabad for Business Purposes, the Government also took every initiative to make it an IT Hub.
• Smaller States Develop Faster might be a mere myth. Now we are worried about the well-being of People who are settled in Hyderabad leaving everything behind (The so called Non-Residents of Hyderabad).
•  What about the Investments-made & Properties built by those People??
• The List Goes On..............

 

United we the People of Andhra Pradesh are opposing the State Division, expressing our disinterest in this Division and we request the Congress Government to Revert Back the Decision; not considering the emotions of the people from the other regions in AP but by looking into true facts. People and NGO's are protesting against such decision through various unique means such as Agitations, Bandh, Hartal, Strike Action, One Lakh Voices Protests, Procession by Several Unions, Human Chain, and the Meeting held by AP NGO's in Hyderabad is one of its kind.

Everyone is commenting on the mis-happenings during the meeting but remember people, when Telangana Agitation was going on People living in Hyderabad were afraid for their Life's, never forget that so many were beaten and vehicles were destroyed while they were traveling with the Family. Was Telangana Agitation really a Peaceful one, compared to Save AP Agitation!!!

Let us not forgot the Telangana Agitation, they claim that their frustation lead to the demolition of our Great Leaders Statues on the Tank Bund Hyderbad, whose property they are destroying and do they have any right to comment on the Protests going on about United Andhra Pradesh. Such a Tension prevails from the OU & Nijam's Students everytime when the situation heats up in Telangana Region, Why Not KCR nor Kodandaram the so called preachers and fighters of Telangana not get hurt. Though its late, atleast now display the Real Facts to the people.

What are those Political Parties to support the Formation of Separate States when People of AP doesn't want this division; when the Decision taken without the intent of People. We Lost Trust on the Elected Political Leaders who are still playing with the emotions of the People; who are they to Divide Us.

 

We don't want any Committee's nor Packages nor a New Capital; all we want is to keep our Andhra Pradesh as it is. We want United Andhra Pradesh, Jai Samaikyandhra.

The Threat for Separate State is a continuous issue unless there would be a New Amendment in Constitution for No New States to be Demanded by Political Parties nor People in our Constitution.
